A video of a snow-clearing vehicle demolishing a bike that happened to be in its path is quickly making the rounds of social media.
The video was posted to Facebook on Saturday evening, and is shows a snow-clearing opearation taking place on Barré St. in Griffintown, in the South West borough.
Instead of trying to get around a bicycle that was chained to a pole, directly in its path, the video shows the driver of the vehicle forcing his way through, tearing the bike off the pole.
The South West borough is apparently not amused — borough mayor Benoit Dorais tells La Presse he plans on fining the private company responsible for snow-clearing in the area.
