The Quebec government is trying to help bring home care services into the 21st century and make them more efficient by investing $8M in laptops and tablets for healthcare professionals.
Health Minister Gaetan Barrette made the announcement this morning at the Verdun CLSC.
Barrette said a lot of time is wasted running around and writing everything down and information can be lost or inaccurate.
Barrette said transmitting the information in real time can save time and allow for more bedside care.
The money can buy as many as 6600 electronic devices.
