A 22 year old South Shore resident is threatening to go to small claims court seeking compensation from the Canadian Tire store in Chambly for an accident he was involved in during the snowfall Monday.
Sébastien Massé plowed into another vehicle after his car slid through a stop sign.
When he got out of his car to examine the damage he realized that his summer tires were still on despite having been to the garage two weeks earlier to have his winter tires installed.
The bottom line for him is $1300 in damages to the vehicles and higher insurance premiums because he was at fault.
The Journal de Montreal says after initially rejecting his claim for compensation the store has contacted Massé offering to make things right.
