Another weekend is here, and that means another round of major round work taking place, closing roads all over town.
As is the case for most weekends, the ramps connecting Highways 20 east and 15 south to Route 136 east (new Ville Marie Expressway) will be closed from Friday 11:59 P.M. to Monday at 5:00 A.M.
The Ville Marie Expressway will also see some closures of its own, as the Viger and Ville-Marie tunnels will be shut down on the westbound side between Panet and Lucien-L'Allier from Friday 11:59 P.M. to Sunday 7:00 A.M. and again from Sunday 11:59 P.M. to Monday at 5:00 A.M.
On the eastbound side Highway 720 will be off limits from the Turcot Interchange to the Saint-Antoine St. entrance from Friday 11:59 P.M. to Saturday 2:00 P.M., Saturday 10:30 P.M. to Sunday 7:00 A.M. and again Sunday 9:00 P.M. to Monday 5:00 A.M.
On Highway 20 west, the entrance ramp from 1st Ave. is closed from Saturday 6:30 A.M. to Sunday 9:00 P.M.
Starting Friday at 11:00 P.M. until Monday at 5:00 A.M. only one lane will be available on Highway 20 east between the Saint-Pierre Interchange and Angrignon Blvd.
During the same time period the ramp from Highway 138/Outbound Mercier Bridge to Highway 20 east will also be off limits.
Exit 64 (St. Jacques Blvd./Angrignon Blvd.) from the eastbound 20 will be closed over the weekend as well.
On Highway 15 north, the De la Vérendrye Blvd entrance ramp will be closed from Friday 11:59 P.M. to Monday 5:00 A.M.
There will also be one lane closed on the northbound 15 at Nun's Island during the same hours.
Even though the full Montreal marathon has been canceled, the Jacques Cartier Bridge will still be closed Sunday morning.
From 3:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. all lanes on the bridge will be off limits to motorists, however the bike/pedestrian path on the bridge will be open.
While it's not over the weekend, the big closure you need to know about, the ramp connecting Highway 15 north to Highway 20 west shuts down Monday at 10:30 P.M. until the end of November.
The next big phase of the Turcot Interchange rebuild was announced in August, and it closes the only direct link to the airport from the Champlain Bridge.
An estimated 22,000 vehicles take the ramp every day.
