It wouldn't be a weekend in Montreal without some road closures to complicate getting around town.
Transport Quebec crew are getting ready to bring down a major ramp in the Turcot Interchange, so this weekend will be all about the prep work.
The ramp from Decarie Expressway/Highway 15 South towards downtown will be completely off limits starting at 11:59 P.M. Friday to Monday at 5:00 A.M.
Access to Route 136 via Highway 20 East will also be closed during the same time period.
On Route 136, the Guy St. Exit (3) closes Friday at 11:59 P.M. and will not open again until September 18. Detours are available via Exit 2 and 4.
Those looking to get downtown from the West Island will also find only one lane on Highway 20 East between the St. Pierre interchange and Montreal West from Friday night to Monday morning.
The de La Verendrye/de l'Eglise exit (62) on Highway 15 North will be closed throughout the weekend.
Coming in from the South Shore via the Mercier Bridge will once again prove problematic, as the ramp for Highway 20 eastbound will be blocked off starting Friday night at 11:00 P.M. until Monday at 5:00 A.M.
If you frequently use the Côte de Liesse Autoroute (520) take note, as of Friday 11:59 P.M. the Highway will have one of two lanes closed from the Dorval circle to the Michel-Jasmin Exit until September 20.
