A 3-year-old boy died Sunday after he was found unconscious in a backyard swimming pool.
Police and Urgences-santé were called to a home in Old Longueuil at about 5:00 P.M.
The young boy was rushed to Charles-Lemoyne hospital where, despite resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the toddler's death are still unclear. Investigators spent the evening at the scene to try and understand how the boy ended up in the water.
