Mother Nature reminded us winter's not over.
It seems Montreal got it all on Sunday, snow, ice pellets, freezing rain and then straight rain, plus the forecast called for gusty winds up to 50 kilometers per hour.
The mixed precipitation made for slippery conditions after Montrealers became used to the bare pavement for a while.
The weather office predicted three centimeters or so of snow and pellets for Montreal, with about as much in snow only for Laval.
It was just enough for motorists to readjust the way they drive in such conditions.
In the end, accumulation predictions were off, only about a third of what was forecast.
Still, Montreal police strongly encouraged drivers to take extra care behind the wheel, including slowing down and keeping a good distance from the person ahead.
