A 35-year-old Quebec woman is suing her ex-husband for $50,000 after he sent some intimate photos of her to members of her family and her work colleagues.
Audrey Larose recently made the complaint against Eric Tremblay, 50, at the Joliette courthouse. Court documents revealed that on Dec. 12, 2017, shortly after their two-year marriage ended, Larose went to Tremblay's residence and used a computer — which belonged to a company they both started — to do a bank transfer. Larose apparently didn't sign out of her email account before leaving the house, leaving her private emails exposed.
The complaint goes on to suggest that Tremblay used the opportunity to pick out a couple of sexually explicit photos of her and her new lover, and sent them out.
Larose told the Journal de Montréal that she felt "betrayed" and "violated" by her ex — but added she should have been more careful in the way she stored her photos. "Everything is searchable [online]," she told the paper.
Tremblay was convicted in a criminal case back in November. He was handed $1,500 fine and was given two years' probation.
