A 26-year-old woman was hit by a car in Dollard-des-Ormeaux while crossing on St-Jean Blvd. Sunday afternoon.
The woman was crossing between Lake St. and De Salaberry Blvd. around 4:10 p.m. when she was struck by a car heading south, police said.
The woman sustained serious injuries to her upper body and for a time doctors fear for her life, but her situation had improved by Sunday evening, according to a police spokeswoman.
The pedestrian, originally reported by police as 29 years old, remains in critical condition.
The driver was also transported to hospital. Police say the 35-year-old woman was treated for shock.
