Alice Paquet, who claims she was sexually assaulted by a Liberal MNA in 2014, says she's receiving support, but also being criticized, adding, though, she has no regrets about speaking out.
Gerry Sklavounos, who vehemently denies the allegations, has quit the Liberal caucus and is now sitting as an independent.
Some wonder why Paquet supposedly went the MNA's hotel room to begin with.
Paquet worked as a hostess and waitress at the Auberge Louis-Hébert, a hotel and restaurant complex in Quebec City, which is said to be frequented by politicians.
Paquet told Radio Canada just because they kissed, it shouldn't lead to sex.
She added she doesn't remember saying no, but she definitely didn't say yes.
She said she needed stitches after the assault, which she described as violent, so violent that when she got home, she wasn't able to sit down and went to the hospital.
Two weeks later, Paquet returned to Sklavounous' hotel room, this time to confront him about the assault.
At that point, she said, he assaulted her again, this time, slapping her.
She also said the restaurant encouraged female staff to dress a certain way and to treat the politicians like royalty because they're important people.
The restaurant issued a statement saying it's profoundly shocked by the allegations and strongly condemns any form of sexual violence against women and wouldn't condone this type of behavior no matter the client's importance.
Paquet wants police to investigate Sklavounos.
