Thursday marks the one-year anniversary that Uber Eats became available in Montreal. To celebrate the occasion, the food delivery service compiled and published data about Montrealers' takeout habits. And the findings may surprise you.
The data shows which cuisine or dish is most popular where you live based on the Uber Eats' districts. For example, did you know that Lasalle residents ordered sushi the most? And people living in the Old Port and The Village lean towards the Hawaiian poke?
Some other interesting information was the time of day orders were placed. Over 50 per cent of orders came during dinner time. Despite only four per cent of orders coming during breakfast hours, Westmount residents still ordered croissants the most.
You can order their takeout to anywhere in the city, and some Montrealers took full advantage of that. The Museum of Fine Arts, the Atwater Market, and the MTelus, were a few of the strangest locations drivers dropped off grub.
And it's safe to say Uber Eats have a loyal customer. The most orders by a single account last year? 35... Yes, 357. Nearly once a day.
