Rape is Real and Eveywhere is a Canadian series that attempts to reclaim tasteless rape jokes by having actual survivors tell their own stories - and crack their own jokes. Friday night's show at Concordia's DB Clarke Theatre features Montreal talent like Tranna Wintour and CJAD's own Robyn Flynn.
Daydrink for a good cause at the Oktoberfest at Atwater Market! Over 40 microbreweries are pouring their goods at a big tent at the market. Looking for something risqué? The History of Sexuality is a show about six queer students taking a graduate class in Foucault theory taught by a hilarious Mrs Frizzle-like prof. Based on interviews with real Montrealers, this show opens a window into the queer experience, complete with nudity and some sex scenes. Three more shows at MainLine Theatre, Friday and Saturday.

All abord for the The Montreal Model Train Exposition, North America's largest collection of model railroads that kids can operate. The annual show takes over the three floors of Sun Youth in the Plateau on Saturday and Sunday, with a flea market, displays, and toy trains to peruse.

The Montreal Black Film Festival brings you shorts and feature films about black people and culture. On Saturday afternoon, catch Oliver Jones: Mind Hands Heart. Directed by Rosey Ugo Edeh, this doc about the life of the celebrated Montreal pianist… he’ll be at the Cinema du Parc screening.
