Will you go on a blind date with Rebecca Northan? The Toronto-based performer and writer is going on her 800th Blind Date at the Centaur Theatre. What started out as a 10-minute clown piece has grown into a travelling show over the last decade. Donning a clown nose, Northan as 'Mimi' chooses a male volunteer from the audience (she usually has her pick of volunteers) then proceeds to build a show out of their interactions. There are two 'Queer Date' with Mathieu (David Benjamin Tomlinson), open to LGBTQ audience members. The show opens Friday, running until April 28. Tickets here.

I finally checked out The Salada Market last weekend! Thumbs up for the chill atmosphere and the neat decorations in this old tea factory off of the 40 (the one painted with bright colours and the heart sign on top). Browse through food trucks and carts (like Grumman 78, Queen B and Hard Fat) (the selection varies by week), take in a DJ set and steer your offspring to the fun kids' section. Access is at 5430 Cote-de-Liesse Road. There is parking on Royden Street, or you can take a shuttle from the closest from Crémazie metro. Fridays 4 to 11pm, Saturdays noon to 11pm. Admission is free, but it will cost you $5 if you arrive after 8pm.
