A strangely placed street light at the corner of Honoré-Beaugrand and Sherbrooke is keeping drivers on their toes.
The streetlight sits 6 feet from the edge of the sidewalk, in the middle of a lane near the Honoré-Beaugrand metro station.
Surrounded by orange cones and concrete blocks to keep wayward cars from knocking it over — the light impedes on traffic turning right at the busy intersection where many commuters pass by via car to Sherbrooke towards downtown or to hop on the metro.
The light, installed in mid-August, is a temporary measure while the nearby metro station was under construction — though there is no set date for it to be moved back onto the sidewalk.
