It seems an increasing number of Montrealers have had it with snow removal trucks damaging their vehicles.
An Ahuntsic-Cartierville resident tells La Presse he went through it not once, but twice.
Richard Dolbec's mirror was ripped out and then they tore off his bumper, causing, he said, $4,000 in damages.
According to Dolbec, the plow operator left a note on the windshield telling him to get his company to help with repairs.
Dolbec, though, ended up calling his insurer and filed a complaint with the city of Montreal.
The city is reported saying if the same thing happens to you, call your insurer and the city quickly.
The window to seek compensation is said to be 15 days.
Montreal's claims office number is 514-872-2977.
