Have you managed to get used to the Turcot Interchange configurations yet? Well it's about to change again.
The good news is it's not a big change.
As of Monday, motorists on the eastbound Highway 20 looking to connect to Highway 15 north will have keep left and exit via a new ramp before the one heading downtown. The new configuration will bring commuters past the highway before looping back around and connecting to the Decarie Expressway.
Those heading downtown via Route 136 (new Ville Marie) will need to stay in the two centre lanes, while anyone looking to take the 15 south towards the Champlain Bridge and the South Shore can continue to do as they do as their exit ramp is not changing.
New signs will be in place for the Monday morning rush to help guide motorists through the new configuration.
Before the new Turcot maze can open up crews need to close it all down to set things up.
Starting Friday night the westbound Ville Marie is closed from Robert-Bourassa Blvd/Champlain Bridge/Victoria Bridge (Exit 5) to the new entrance at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue St.
Route 136 west will also be closed between St-Antoine St. East and Hotel de Ville.
On the eastbound Ville Marie it is closed from the Turcot Interchange to the Notre Dame/De La Cathedrale entrance.
Several ramps will also be closed:
The closures related to the Turcot Interchange will last until Monday at 5:00 A.M.
In an unrelated closure Transport Quebec will also shut down the eastbound Highway 20 between Saint-Jacques/Angrignon (Exit 64) and the Angrignon entrance from Friday 11:00 P.M. to Saturday 8:00 A.M., from Saturday 11:00 P.M. to Sunday 10:00 A.M., from Sunday 11:00 P.M. to Monday 5:00 A.M.
