If you've been enjoying summer's encore, good news, it's still got a couple hits left.
Hot and humid conditions are expected to continue over much of Southwestern and Central Quebec for at least the next three days.
Daytime temperatures in the Montreal are expected to be in the upper 20s or low 30s through Wednesday, with Humidex levels climbing into the mid- to upper 30s.
If the forecasts hold, we will have seen three days in a row, from Sunday to Tuesday, where the temperature will have climbed above 30 degrees — all of which occured after the fall equinox.
The temperature never climbed above 30 degrees during the actual summer, and there were three days during the spring — one in May, two in June — when it did.
The temperature broke records on Sunday (30.2 degrees) and on Monday (31.4 degrees as of 4 p.m.)
Enjoy it while it lasts, however, because after clouds and showers move in on Wednesday, temperatures will come right back down to earth.
Wednesday night's low will come back down to 12 degrees, while Thursday's high will only climb back up to 18 — which is actually normal for this time of year.
Daytime highs will linger in the mid-teens for the rest of the week, while overnight lows will tumble will into single digits.— down to 5 degrees by Friday night.
