A 39-year old Laval man, who's been formally charged with multiple counts after an incident involving a Sunwing Airlines flight bound for Cuba from Montreal, was apparently ticked off prior to the plane's takeoff.
An unruly passenger forced it to return under a fighter jet escort Thursday night.
Charalabos Nassios appeared in court via videoconference on Friday.
CTV's Amanda Kline reported photos from Nassios' facebook page appear to show he was upset even before boarding the plane "posting a rejection letter for a job he had applied for followed by a series of photos, including him giving the middle finger as he boarded the airplane".
Charges include assault, uttering threats and committing an act of violence against a person that is likely to endanger the safety of an aircraft.
The Crown objected to his release and the 39-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear in court Monday for a bail hearing.
