There is a Canadian plotline in the sequel to the 2001 comedy movie Super Troopers, which featured some wacky and not very intelligent Vermont State Police officers.
In this newest installment, the Super Troopers are crossing the border into Canada, after a portion of Quebec is found to actually belong to the U.S. .
Judging from the trailer released yesterday, Super Troopers 2 gives some Canadian stereotypes a real work-out, including Mounties who don't seem to speak either of the country's official languages very well, references to bear and moose, and a riff on the fact that Canadian soft drinks come in one-litre bottles.
Super Troopers 2 hits theatres April 20th.
The following trailer contains strong language.
