An east end Montreal resident still recovering from a terrible fall she took year ago wants her borough to provide better street cleaning.
Nadya Mirarchi, who lives in Riviere-des-Prairies, said she becomes anxious when she sees icy sidewalks.
Mirarchi, whose ankle broke in three places, added "it brings back memories."
"It was like just ice, bumps, mountains, nobody was coming. I understand we're one of the small streets, the big streets are important, the main roads, but you're not even passing to clear our sidewalks", added Mirarchi in an interview with CTV.
The sidewalk was plowed when CTV visited her on Friday, but the borough reportedly said salting was delayed because "cars and snow banks were in the way".
A lawsuit by Mirarchi is expected.
