A man is in hospital after he was shot, at least once, in the upper body by police.
Quebec’s Bureau of Independent Investigations is reviewing what led to the police shooting in Montreal North.
The incident began when an unmarked police car tried to pull over a vehicle which had been under surveillance.
An officer on foot fired at the vehicle after it accelerated near the intersection of Arthur Chevrier Street and Langelier Blvd.
The passenger was hit. His injuries aren't considered life threatening.
The vehicle then crashed into a police cruiser.
