Montreal police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who they say may have committed a sexual assault in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 4 on Île Sainte-Hélène.
The assault allegedly took place between 2 and 3 o'clock that morning, when a woman got into a car, believing it was an Uber. It was not.
Last month, Montreal police released a photo of the suspect and his car, believing him to be an "important witness" in the case.
Police say the man is a white man in his 60s with white hair, a small beard and thin in stature. He speaks English with an accent, possibly a Greek or Arabic accent.
He was seen driving a recent model Dodge Caravan.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Montreal police through the Info-Crime tipline at 514-393-1133.
