Merchants on Cartier Avenue in Pointe Claire got the chance to vent Monday night.
Business owners and residents voiced their concerns to the Mayor at a public meeting after roadwork on the busy stretch of road abruptly stopped when the contractor filed for bankruptcy.
Mayor John Belvedere says a new contractor has been found and work resumed Monday.
Belvedere says that a December 15th deadline to complete the 4.6 million dollar project isn't out of the question.
“Believe it or not, the worst part of the job is done,” he tells CTV Montreal “All the pipes are in, all the excavation is done, two-thirds of the work is already up to the rough grade.”
