Security is being beefed up at Montreal's Christmas market, after the attack Monday on a similar market in Berlin.
Big concrete blocks have been installed at the entrance to the site at the Place des Festivals.
The blocks were recommended by Montreal police and firefighters who met with the promoter of the event, earlier Tuesday.
Montreal police say they remain vigilant, and at the national level, the RCMP says there are no specific threats targetting Canada — but that law enforcement officials are keeping watch.
