With this week marking the start of a new school year, a trio of Longueuil police officers fulfilled a promise they made four years ago.
In 2014, Sergeant Detective Sébastien Glaude passed away after a battle with cancer. At the time his twin boys, William and Tristan were only about 1-year-old.
Prior to his death, after receiving the bad news about his condition, Glaude shared a message with his fellow officers.
"There's a line in the text that really hit us, and it's a line that he repeated often," explained Sergeant Dominic Ahier. "Guys, could you take my boys to their first day of school in a police car."
So this week, as the boys were ready to head out to their first day of Kindergarten, Sergeant Ahier, Sergeant Philippe Tessier and Sergeant Detective Yanick Bissonnette showed up at their home, ready to make their late colleague's wish come true.
