Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stopped by the studios of our sister station CHOM 97.7 on Friday morning to have a chat with hosts Terry DiMonte and Heather B.
Trudeau told the show one of the things he's most proud of during hit past year in office is getting Canada to stand out on the world stage in the era of Trump and Brexit.
"Everyone's going closed in, everyone's shutting down, everyone's refusing refugees, everyone's getting scared of the big bad world, and Canada's accepting refugees, and signing monster trade deals, and engaging positively with the world."
He was also asked whether he's finished his Christmas shopping — which to say the least, he isn't listing as one of his accomplishments.
"No, of course not. I'm a guy," he says, "I have this excuse, right? I'm sort of, you know, busy being prime minister. That doesn't fly with [Trudeau's wife] Sophie".
