An imam who preached at a Montreal mosque on Jean Talon East last December is accused of inciting violence against Jews.
B'nai Brith says in his sermon, Muhammed Bin Musa Al Nasr, a visiting imam from Jordan, described Jewish people as "human demons" and called for Jews to be killed.
Regional Director Harvey Levine tells CTV Montreal the video needs to be taken seriously.
"Obviously there are imams, and I'm sure there are more than just what has been reported, that are preaching hatred in their sermons and annihilation of Jews, and this sort of thing leads to radicalization worldwide," said Levine.
Members of the Canadian Muslim Forum say they find the speech troubling.
Video of the sermon has been handed over to Montreal police.
