Government House Leader Jean Marc Fournier denies he was involved in an influence peddling scheme that was allegedly the target of a blocked investigation.
Fournier says he never discussed making zoning changes in exchange for donations to the Liberal party.
The head of Montreal's police brotherhood made the bombshell accusations about two Liberal MNA's last April, but Yves Francoeur never named the MNA's.
Details of Francoeur's statement to the SQ were revealed today in the Journal de Montreal.
Fournier says the allegations are troubling and give him a reason to reconsider his life in politics.
"I don't know what he's talking about, but what he said, if it had happened in my life, I would remember and it never happened, " he told CTV.
The other MNA named in the report is former finance minister and ex-Liberal MNA Raymand Bachand.
The PQ and Quebec Solidaire are calling for Fournier to step down.
The SQ meantime confirms it has expanded its investigation into the alleged fraud.
