Four teenagers have been charged in youth court following the brutal east end beating of a student.
A 5th suspect is being sought.
"The four boys, aged 15 and 16, were low-key, they were quiet, all appearing from the prisoner's box because they were questioned by last night, (Thursday night), and detained. They were each charged with assault and conspiracy. All of them pleaded not guilty", reported CTV's Cindy Sherwin.
The teenagers will stay behind bars for the weekend.
The beating of the Lester B. Pearson high school student, who was repeatedly punched and kicked, occured Tuesday at a park in Riviere-des-Prairies.
A crowd of teeangers watched what happened, but no one called for help.
A bail hearing is scheduled for Monday.
