The Formula E race is only two days - July 29 and 30 - but it'll mean street closures, detours and parking restrictions not only during the event but leading up to and after the race.
Street changes and closures and parking restrictions kick in as early as July 15 when they start setting up the racetrack along parts of René-Lévesque, St. Antoine and Viger, and end about ten days after the race for the dismantling.
Papineau, for example, will be cut off at René-Lévesque and Viger so to get to the Jacques-Cartier Bridge you will have to go around and use Frontenac and surrounding streets.
During the race, the Ville Marie tunnel will be open but the Panet and Hôtel-de-Ville entrances to go westbound will be shut down between the evening of July 27 and the morning of July 31.
Residents and workers in the area will also see parking and driving restrictions.
Residents directly in the racetrack zone will be able to use five designated parking lots nearby - such as the Grande Bibliothèque - for free but it'll be first come, first served.
Residents and workers in the racetrack zone will be able to access their homes and workplaces via little footbridges.
The city has sent out information booklets to affected residents and the details are available at their website.
