Prior to receiving one of the 21 Medals of Freedom from U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday, TV mega star Ellen DeGeneres had some fun with her fans online.
Shortly after noon, DeGeneres Tweeted a picture of herself sitting on a bench, outside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. saying that she could not get into the White House to receive her honour because she forgot her ID.
They haven't let me in to the White House yet because I forgot my ID. #NotJoking#PresidentialMedalOfFreedom pic.twitter.com/sHocwqChKV

While she said she wasn't joking, the talk show host eventually got in and joined fellow Freedom Medal honourees Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro and Diana Ross.
The celebrities took the opportunity to get in on the latest internet craze, the #MannequinChallenge.
