Look, we all know it hasn't been a great year for the Habs (I'm an Oiler fan, so, right there with ya) but fans can take solace in knowing Carey Price remains a wizard and likely pulled off the Save of the Year Thursday night.

Only four days into 2018, Price channelled his inner Dominik Hasek to first rob the Tampa Bay Lightning's Tyler Johnson on a 2-on-1 rush, then stone Ondrej Palat with a contortionist-style toe save... during overtime.
No big deal.
"Just doing it old school I guess" Price said in a post game interview. "I just tried to react on the first shot and I wound up in a pretty bad spot. I kept my eye on the puck and he shot into my leg so, it worked out."

The impressive, barrel-roll save was not lost on social media as Habs fans flooded the internet with clips of the stop.
The save was just one of his 44 on the night, backstopping the Canadiens to a 2-1 shootout win over the Lightning, the top team in the NHL. The win snapped the Habs' five-game losing streak, getting a W for the first time since December 22.
