It's not every day you get to go to a rock show and end up being one of the stars of the show, having a packed Bell Centre chant your name.
That's exactly what happened Wednesday night in Montreal.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Green Day gave three very lucky fans a night to remember, as front man Billie Joe Armstrong pulled three people out of the massive crowd to join him on stage.
One of them, 11-year-old Nathan, was asked if he could play guitar, and if he knew how to play three chords. Armstrong taught him on the spot how to play that band's song "Knowledge," from their 1991 album 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours.
In mere moments the young fan was a rock star.
As if Nathan's night wasn't already made, Armstrong told him he would get to keep the guitar.
Green Day and opening act Against Me! continue their tour of the province on Thursday, March 23, at the Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City.
