Veronique Hivon is returning to politics.
The MNA for Joliette, Hivon took a sick leave starting in late August to recover from labyrinthitis, an acute viral infection of the inner ear.
She also had to drop out of the race to be the next leader of the Parti Québécois.
Originally her doctor called for full bed rest for a month, but in late September it was announced her sick leave was extended indefinitely.
Hivon will make her political return on Sunday at a special caucus meeting for the Parti Québécois in Victoriaville.
A previous version of this article incorrectly stated the PQ caucus meeting in Victoriaville was to take place on Monday instead of Sunday.
