If you got a parking ticket on Monday in Verdun, good news, it's being cancelled.
It's a onetime thing, a decision made by borough Mayor Jean-François Parenteau.
Parenteau said when residents called Monday morning to find out what parking restrictions were in place the automated message was out of date, telling them they could park on the street.
Spring parking restrictions return every year April 1.
If you did get a ticket on Monday, Mayor Parenteau said you can take it to the Accès Montréal office located at 4555, rue de Verdun to have it cancelled, or plead not guilty, indicating the reason and send it to the Municipal Court.
