There is now a state of emergency in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
And mayor Guy Pilon says that's at least for the next 48 hours.
That means the city can, among other things, limit access to roads depending on the situation and they can order forced evacuations.
The city says it's deployed all of its workers to help flooded homeowners and secure the areas.
The number to call for help is 450 455-3371 ext. 2805.
The cities of Montreal and Pointe Calumet have also declared a state of emergency in the past 24 hours.
