A man in his 30s is recovering in hospital after being hit by a truck in the St. Henri district on Tuesday morning.
Montreal police say at around 10 a.m., the driver of a small white truck — like an Econoline or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van — struck the man near the corner of St. Jacques St. and Laporte Ave.
The car did not stop, and was found two blocks away on St. Jacques, near Bourget St.
A 37 year old man turned himself in to police this afternoon in connection with the incident.
Police say he will likely be charged with hit and run causing bodily harm.
