Snow removal in Montreal is scheduled to start Friday evening at 7.
City officials are urging motorists to respect no parking signs, adding faling to do so delays the process.
Over at the airport, there've been delays and cancellations, mainly involving flights to and from Toronto, Halifax and New York City.
In the Townships and Quebec City, the forecast calls for anywhere from 25 to 50 centimetres of snow.
