Two people on board a small plane that crashed outside Quebec City this afternoon have died.
According to the Surete du Quebec, they are a 63-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, but their identities are not being made public until next of kin are notified.
They were unconscious when they were recovered from the wreckage and transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
The pair were in a Grumman AA-1 two-seater when around 2 this afternoon it crashed into the Etchemin River near Lévis, south of Quebec City.
Transportation Safety Board are heading to the scene
For now, officials say it is too early to comment on the cause of the crash.
