Nearly 2,000 residents in Beaconsfield were left in the dark for several hours starting Sunday night following equipment failure, according to Hydro-Quebec.
The power company says two different outages left1,880 customers without power in Beaconsfield for several hours starting around 9 p.m. on Sunday. The outage is the result of an equipment failure, according to Hydro.
The outage struck homes between Highways 20 and 40, west of Saint-Charles Boulevard.
Hydro-Quebec originally estimated power would be restored arounnd midnight, but by the time crews were on the scene and repairs were made to all without power, it was closer to 2 a.m.
