A roadway between two condo towers under construction near the Bell Centre has partially caved in.
The road is located between the Roccabella and L'Avenue condo developments, located in what used to be the parking lot in front of the Bell Centre, between Drummond and Mountain Sts.
Officials with the Ville-Marie borough say the buildings themselves aren't in any danger of collapsing, and that the cave-in was caused by water infiltration coming from the rupturing of an 8-inch water line running under René-Lévesque Blvd. W. near Drummond St.
Gaz Metro crews have shut the gas off in the neighborhood to allow crews from the public works department to fix the water leak.
