The freezing rain and strong winds that hit parts of Quebec on Tuesday have kept Hydro Quebec crews busy during the overnight hours.
At its peak nearly 68,000 Hydro customers were without electricity.
The majority of the outages were on Montreal's South Shore, with Longueuil, Chambly, Boucherville and Brossard being the hardest hit areas.
On the island of Montreal there were a couple thousand homes and businesses in Verdun and Pierrefonds-Roxboro affected.
Hydro Quebec spokesperson Louis Olivier Batty told CJAD 800s Jon Pole that hundreds of crews were sent out to fix the issues as quickly as possible.
While some regions saw much of its power restored, a light freezing rain that continued during the overnight hours caused more trouble in others.
