Tragedy in Ile Bizard.
Police said a 60-year old man who had first been described as being in critical condition died after a violent two-car collision near the Jacques Bizard bridge early Sunday morning.
He was the lone occupant in his vehicle.
There were two women in the other vehicle with one, 24-years old, fighting for her life, but the other suffered only minor injuries.
The bridge was immediately closed, but police did allow vehicles through if it was an emergency.
The span was opened completely to traffic around 2:30 in the afternoon.
Alcohol and speed were suspected in the tragedy.
Investigators remained on the scene.
