There is a boil water advisory in effect for the Fatima section of Old Longueuil after E.coli bacteria was found in a water sample.
City officials say residents and businesses in the area bordered by Lalande, Kirouac, Jean-Paul Vincent, Claude, Lafrance and Marie Victorin are affected.
It's recommended you boil your tap water for at least 1 minute before consuming it, but you can use it to wash dishes, do laundry and bathe.
The advisory is in effect until further notice.
