Air Canada says a nationwide system outage which struck late Monday morning has been resolved.
The outage affected the carrier's airport systems, check-in and customer call centres for several hours on Monday.
Air Canada confirmed things were back online on Twitter just before 2:30 p.m.
We can confirm airport systems, check-in & customer call centres are now all back online. We’re expecting some flight delays but we’re getting everyone on their way. Please check your flight status before going to the airport. We thank customers for their patience

“We can confirm airport systems, check-in and customer call centres are now all back online,” the tweet read. “We’re expecting some flight delays but we’re getting everyone on their way. Please check your flight status before going to the airport. We thank customers for their patience.”
Many frustrated passengers took to Twitter to report on the delays, with one Twitter usser, Marian Donnelly, suggesting as many as 2,000 people were stuck in the terminal at Trudeau airport at the peak of the problem. The backlog of passengers appears to have cleared since.

The long delays were felt not only at home, but at foreign airports.
The disruption comes two weeks after the airline had a computer issue that disrupted web and mobile check-ins and call centre operations and temporarily delayed boarding on some flights.
