The Sûreté du Québec will evaluate weather and water conditions this morning before deciding whether to continue their search for two men who went missing while snowmobiling between Thursday night and Friday morning.
The two men left a bar in Saint-Barbe late Thursday night headed towards Valleyfield, but never made it. SQ spokesperson Stephane Tremblay said they continued with air and ground searches throughout the weekend, including sending police divers into the water.
“The snowmobile has been located in the Lac-Saint-François by the divers from Sûreté du Québec on Saturday afternoon.”
Police divers found the two men's snowmobiles in about 20-feet of water in Lac-St-Francis on Saturday afternoon. The search for the two men continued throughout the weekend...so far, without a trace of the men...or their bodies.
