Ubisoft is about to dramatically expand its Quebec operations.
The French video game giant announced Tuesday what it calls it most important expansion in the province since it first set up shop in 1997.
Over the next decade, it will pump $780 million into its Quebec operations, and create about 1,000 new jobs — including 650 more in Montreal.
It will also open a new studio in Quebec City, and a first one in Saguenay
Ubisoft, the developer of the popular Assassin's Creed series, currently employs about 3,600 people in Montreal and Quebec City.
