For the second time in as many weeks, Quebec's taxi industry suffered yet another legal setback as they continue to battle Uber's continued presence in Quebec.
On Monday, cabbies tried to ask the court to implement a safeguard order, saying their jobs are at risk. That request was rejected by Judge Michel Yergeau on Tuesday morning.
Lawyers for Uber successfully argued that there was no urgency in granting the injunction.
Last week, another judge denied a request for an injunction to halt the year-long pilot project worked out between Uber and the Quebec government.
