Provincial police reported two pile ups north of Montreal with minor injuries on Sunday.
One of the multi-vehicle crashes occured on the 40 west near L'Assomption (see below) involving as many as 50 vehicles.
The other was on the 640 west near Montée Lesage involving over a dozen vehicles.
Area traffic was affected for quite some time in both cases.
A snow squall watch was in effect for the Montreal area at the time and it's suspected the challenging road conditions contributed to the accidents.
