A man who had barricaded himself in a Mercier borough apartment for hours after a bizarre road rage incident Friday afternoon has surrendered to Montreal police.
He turned himself in without incident just before 1:00 Saturday morning.
It all began just after 4:30 yesterday, when the suspect and another man got out of their car while in traffic and threatened the occupants of another vehicle with a knife. The pair then got back in the car and drove away, but were followed by the victims to an apartment on Tellier Street near Baldwin.
One of the suspects surrendered to police a short time later but the second man refused to leave the apartment for several hours.
No one was hurt in the incident. The suspects face charges that include uttering threats
